During World War II, a soldier was separated from his unit on an island. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire he had lost touch with his comrades.
Alone in the jungle, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves.
Although safe for the moment, he realised that once the enemy soldiers looking for him swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and would be killed.
As he waited, he prayed, “Lord, please spare my life. Whatever will happen, I love you and trust you. Amen.” After praying, he lay quietly listening to the enemy begin to draw close.
He thought, “Well, I guess the Lord isn’t going to help me out of this one.” Then he saw a spider begin to build a web over the front of his cave. “Hah” he thought, “What I need is a brick wall and what the Lord has sent me is a spider web. God does have a sense of humour. “
As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hide out and could see them searching one cave after another.
As they came to his, he got ready to make his last stand, but then he heard the leader of the soldiers say, “You may as well ignore looking in this cave….if he had entered here this web would be broken!” So they left and he was delivered!
To his amazement, however, after glancing in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly he realised that with the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered for quite a while.
“Lord, forgive me,” he prayed. “I had forgotten that in you a spider’s web is stronger than a brick wall.”
God’s ways are not our ways, God’s thoughts are not our thoughts.. He will neither leave us nor forsake us.. Let’s trust in God always!!
Sometimes a prayer doesn’t change the situation. But it changes our attitudes towards the situation and gives us hope which changes our entire life.
Stay Blessed! Always Trust in your prayers. God always responds in HIS own ways. He has answered me twice this year. Looking forward for the big one. Soon, very soon! I pray! Amen.

HENRY KIHERIRE- “Rest in Peace”
Arising from communications which are currently circulating through whatsapp and other social media regarding the handling of the overall bereavement on the passing of Henry Kiherile by gun shots, the family of Henry Kiherile in Houston wishes to express the following:
(1) We wish to express once again our sincere thanks to the Tanzanian Houston community and its leadership for the overwhelming support given to us as we grieved for the loss of Henry. You mourned with us, you prayed with us, you supported us financially, and you allowed us to cry on your shoulders. We thank you so much.
(2) We acknowledge with many thanks the support and leadership we received from the Embassy of Tanzania as we grieved on the loss. The consular services we needed to facilitate transportation of the body to Tanzania were rendered promptly and we appreciate the expressions of sympathy during the entire time we worked on the consular affairs related to transporting the body home. We are particularly grateful to the Embassy for sending an embassy official, Dismas Assenga, to Houston to mourn with us and to deliver the Ambassador’s condolence message and financial contribution. We thank you so much.
(3) We wish to inform you that the family is in close communication with the Houston Police Department team working on the case. We have had several in person meetings and regular telephone communications for briefings and updates. We believe the perpetrator(s) of the crime will be brought to justice in time.
(4) We would like to state very clearly that we were very well served by all institutions and organizations that we have worked with or are working with in this matter (Houston Police Department, Embassy of Tanzania, Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Umoja Church). We feel very well served during this very difficult time for us.
(5) Last but not least, and considering all of the above, we would like to inform all of you that we do not subscribe to the view expressed in the WhatsApp communication which wishes to send out a petition seeking signatures to support a recommendation to the government of Tanzania to remove Ambassador Wilson Masilingi from serving as Ambassador of Tanzania to the United States, purportedly for “kutowajibika na kutokujali vifo viwili tofauti ndani ya mwezi mmoja mjini Texas kwa kupigwa risasi”. We have not expressed such discontent to anyone and we would like to remove any implication that because we are one of the families that lost a son so horrifically we, therefore, may have contributed to the petition idea or motivated the authors of the petition. We want Henry to rest in peace and for us to be allowed to move on.

Balozi Wilson Masilingi haukufanya lolote wakati jumuiya yetu ilipopatwa na misiba miwili ya Bw.Henry Kiherile na Bw.Andrew Nicky Sanga iliyotokea kwa nyakati tofauti mapema mwezi April mwaka huu.
Uongozi wa THC unapenda umma utambue kwamba tulipata na tunathamini sana ushirikiano ulioonyeshwa na kutolewa na ubalozi pamoja na balozi mwenyewe Mh. Masilingi wakati wa misiba hiyo miwili na hata baada ya shughuli hizo za misiba kumalizika.
Baadhi ya mambo yaliyofanywa na balozi ni kuwatafuta viongozi wa jumuiyaTHC na kuzungumza nao mapema baada ya misiba hiyo kutokea (balozi alitutafuta viongozi na si vinginevyo) ambapo alizungumza na Rais wa jumuiya Bw.Daudi Mayocha na Katibu Mkuu wa jumuiya Bw.Michael Ndejembi na kuwapa pole kwa niaba ya familia na jumuia nzima.
Uongozi unafahamu kwamba sababu za balozi kushindwa kufika Houston wakati wa misiba hiyo ni yeye kumuwakilisha Mh. Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Mh. John Magufuli kwenye kongamano la DICOTA lililokuwa likifanyika jijini Dallas, Texas. Tunatambua pia kwamba nia ya balozi kuja Houston bado iko pale pale.
Aidha Balozi Masilingi alimtuma afisa ubalozi kumuwakilisha katika shughuli za Misa na Kuaga mwili wa marehemu Andrew Nicky Sanga, ambapo afisa huyo pamoja na mambo mengine alitoa salamu za rambirambi toka kwa balozi na alikabidhi rambirambi ya $500 kwa kila familia pamoja na kuzungumza na wafiwa hao kwa nyakati tofauti. Afisa huyo aliweza pia kukutana na uongozi Houston Police Department (HPD) ambao wanashughulikia kesi za mauaji hayo ya watanzania.
Kwa taratibu za kiupelelezi Uongozi wa THC hauwezi kutoa taarifa zaidi ya namna suala hili linavyoshughulikiwa kati ya vyombo vya usalama nikimaanisha HPD Homicide Department na Ubalozi wa Tanzania lakini tunatambua kwamba ubalozi unafuatilia kesi zote mbili kwa ukaribu sana.
Uongozi wa THC unasisitiza kuwa hauhusiki kwa aina yoyote na Waraka (Petition)unaosambazwa kwenye mitandao ili kumchafua Balozi Masilingi na ubalozi wetu wa Washington D.C kwa ujumla.Uongozi unashauri watu wote kupuuza ujumbe na jumbe nyinginezo zinazofanana na huo kwani hauna ukweli wowote.

Mimi (Alpha Igogo) sijaiona wala kusikia kitu chochote kuhusu hiyo petition ambayo Mbunge Sugu amezungumzia. Ndio kwanza nasikia toka kwake. Naona imenipita pembeni. Hivyo inawezekana ipo au la! Siunajua vitu kama hivyo haviwezi pita machoni pangu as huwa wanadai mimi ni “FBI” ??? Nikazi sana kuwa na akili za kushikiwa na marafiki!
